We are excited to offer a new learning experience for our teachers... TeachCamp Foundations!
TeachCamp Foundations is open to ALL PPS teachers at every level; however, the focus will be, well... foundational. We are using this experience to solidify the core principles of what it means to be an outstanding teacher for both our brand-new-to-teaching staff and our new-to-Portage staff. And, while we're at it, we are offering some great sessions for our teachers who have stuck with us through the roller coaster of the last few years and would like to dig deeper into targeted topics and hone their craft. For example, you may be solid in your classroom management techniques, but would like to dig into your craft or a specific curricular area. If that's you, come join us! What: TeachCamp Foundations 2022
When: Tuesday, August 16, 2022
Where: Portage Central High School (unless otherwise noted)
Who: Newer staff AND anyone who wants to brush up on or dig deep into their foundational skills.
PD Credit & Pay: SCECHs available along with a $125 stipend for attending the day (unless otherwise noted)

Favorite note-taking materials
Water Bottle
Charged Chromebook (& charger)
Any other items requested in your session information doc you received via email

What's this new structure?
Sessions will last all day for about six hours. Yep, these sessions will be deep dives with practical application and implementation.

Some of our sessions will be for invite only as these sessions will target specific groups of teachers
Sessions will be capped at 20 participants in order to keep the learning deep and focused. Note that we will maintain a waiting list for each session and some sessions may go over 20 participants depending on the session and the wait list.
